On the 17 and 18 June 2008, the final conference of the German Mobile Telecommunication Research Programme was held in the Park Inn Hotel Berlin, Alexanderplatz 7. The conference was opened up by the Federal Environment Minister Sigmar Gabriel. The conclusions of the DMF programme and their evaluation in view of the current international state of knowledge were presented.

In addition, further presentations provided an overview on international and national research regarding high frequency electromagnetic fields. Scientific experts, representatives of international and national radiation and health institutions and organisations, as well as politicians, interest groups and national and international representatives of the press attended this international conference.
